Malaysian Travellers Become Largest Foreign Source of Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail

Data from the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail shows that from January to August this year more than 105,000 Malaysian travellers rode the line, about 40% of foreign passengers in the period. Since operations began through August 2026, Malaysian passengers made 403,626 cumulative trips, the most among foreign nationalities and 42.8% of the 944,087 total foreign passenger trips.
