Engine acquires Options Travel to build modern OBT

Travel and spend management platform Engine has acquired corporate travel management company (TMC) Options Travel. Terms were not disclosed. Engine will also add group-flights product TempoTrip, built by Options Travel in 2018. The companies began working together nine months ago, with Engine developing an AI-native online booking tool (OBT) for TMCs. The new OBT aims to improve booking speed and personalization, automate disruption handling, and handle payments, reporting, customer management, and duty of care, with a consolidated dashboard. Options Travel will continue to operate independently, with its employees joining Engine.
