National Standard for 'Guidelines for Inbound Reception Services at Tourist Attractions' Approved for Development

On October 22, 2026, according to China Tourism News, the national standard project 'Guidelines for Inbound Reception Services at Tourist Attractions' has been officially approved for development. The standard applies to the service and management of receiving inbound tourists at scenic areas and is intended to cover the entire inbound reception process, including consultation, ticketing, language, guided tours, ticket checking, payment, dining, shopping, cultural experiences, safety and security, and complaint handling, providing standardized guidance for scenic areas. The standard is currently at the project initiation stage, and the report did not mention a release or implementation date.
