On October 2, 2026, Hospitality Technology reported that Bavarian five-star resort Schloss Elmau has replaced legacy software with Oracle OPERA Cloud's PMS and sales and event management system, and with the help of embedded AI automation bots, cut administrative workload in the reservations department by 50%. The report said the system consolidates rooms, spa, restaurants and show ticketing into a single real-time record, allows staff to handle check-in and check-out on mobile phones, and a ChatGPT conversational tool is also connected to the reservations back end. The current progress is that the system has been deployed at the resort and has achieved the aforementioned administrative workload reduction.
