Travel Trade Delegation from 9 European Countries Explores Gansu's Silk Road

• From September 15 to 21, 31 travel trade professionals, travel media journalists, and influencers from nine European countries—the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Luxembourg, and Sweden—visited Gansu on a seven-day, six-night Silk Road exploration trip.
• The delegation was invited by the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to advance inbound tourism promotion and expand the European inbound market.
• On September 15, the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism held a dedicated tourism promotion event, where the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau and selected local travel agencies presented routes tailored to European visitors.
• The delegation traveled west along the ancient Silk Road's Hexi Corridor, visiting Lanzhou, Zhangye, Jiayuguan, and Dunhuang to experience the history, culture, and natural scenery of the golden section of the Silk Road.
• According to the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Gansu received 349,500 inbound visitors from January to August this year, up 60% year on year.
• Gansu has held an inbound tourism international travel trade conference for three consecutive years, inviting more than 500 travel trade professionals from over 40 countries and regions, and has developed differentiated products such as high-end customized tours, themed study tours, and cultural immersion experiences based on European preferences.
