Former Marriott exec Liam Brown joins Chatham Lodging Trust board

• Chatham is headquartered in Palm Beach, Florida, and invests in upscale extended stay and premium-branded select-service hotels, with a portfolio of 39 hotels across 11 brands.
• Brown retired from Marriott earlier this year, having served as group president for the U.S. and Canada, responsible for the financial management and leadership of Marriott's lodging operations in North and South America — more than 6,000 hotels and roughly 160,000 associates.
• During a nearly four-decade career at Marriott, Brown also served as group president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and as chief operations officer for select-service and extended stay lodging in the Americas.
• Chatham CEO and chairman Jeffrey Fisher said Brown's insights from both an operations and franchisor/franchisee relationship perspective will help enhance shareholder value through focus on operating results and capital allocation decisions.
• Brown also currently serves on the boards of real estate investment trust EPR Properties and the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
• To prepare for Brown's departure, Marriott appointed Satya Anand as group president for the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean and Latin America region in January.
