AirAsia and Pegasus launch first codeshare, boosting Istanbul flights

AirAsia has entered its first codeshare partnership with Pegasus, Turkey's largest low-cost carrier, connecting Southeast Asia and Europe via Istanbul. The initial phase covers five European destinations: London Stansted, Moscow Vnukovo, Ankara Esenboga, Zurich and Athens, with the joint network eventually offering access to more than 100 routes between Asia and Europe. AirAsia plans to increase Kuala Lumpur-Istanbul (KUL-SAW) flights from four to seven weekly by February 2027. Travellers can book the entire journey under one reservation and check baggage through to the final destination.
