Travelport Flights API adds RouteHappy universal product attributes in Price response

Travelport's TripServices Flights API release Air Offer 26.11.32W adds support for requesting ATPCO RouteHappy universal product attributes (UPAs) in the Price response (both full and reference payload). Requests must send includeUniversalProductAttributesInd in CustomResponseModifiersAir along with includeFlightAmenitiesInd to obtain RouteHappy data. In the response, FlightSegment/universalProductAttributeRefs cross-references UPAs in the format u{x}, and UPAs are returned in ReferenceList/ReferenceListUniversalProductAttribute. UPAs are not returned for direct flights with intermediate stops, non-flight segments such as trains, or for Premium Business class.

Impact and considerations

For agencies and TMCs distributing through Travelport, richer media such as icons, photos, and videos becomes available at the pricing stage, supporting ancillary and brand presentation during quoting, but requires corresponding request-parameter changes.
