2026 World Tourism Day Main Event Held in El Salvador
On 27 September, the 2026 World Tourism Day main event was held in El Salvador. This year's theme was 'Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence Reshaping Tourism'. Participants from tourism, technology and business discussed topics including 'From digital transformation to people-centred impact', 'Leading the AI revolution: building a trusted, transparent and people-centred future' and 'Beyond algorithms: who shapes the world's next travel direction', and conducted technical visits. World Tourism Day is observed annually on 28 September.
