Royal Caribbean to Buy 50% Stake in Sandals for $3 Billion
Royal Caribbean Group is acquiring a 50% stake in Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts for about $3 billion in cash, valuing the business at roughly $6 billion. The 50% figure was disclosed in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing, and the deal is expected to close in early 2027 subject to approvals. It marks Royal Caribbean's biggest step from sea to land, covering the family-owned Caribbean all-inclusive brands.
