    World's First International Standard for Tourism City Brand Evaluation Released

    On 9 September, the 2026 World Tourism Cooperation and Development Conference was held at the Shougang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing. At the opening ceremony, the scoring rules for the ISO 11778 international standard 'Brand Evaluation—Tourism Cities' were released.     MCT: 6,129 Star-Rated Hotels Passed Data Review in Q3 2024

    China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Market Management Department) published the Q3 2024 national star-rated tourist hotel statistical survey report. It says 6,129 star-rated tourist hotels had their data approved by provincial culture and tourism authorities in Q3 2024. The report covers overall conditions, regional conditions, conditions in 50 key tourist cities and year-on-year comparisons, with attached operating and average-indicator tables. Provinces and cities with a reporting rate below 60% are excluded from specific rankings.
