    National Standard on Scenic Spot Peak-Crowd Response Opens for Public Comment

    On September 28, the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee said the draft national standard "Specification for Responding to Peak Visitor Periods at Tourist Attractions" has been published on the National Public Service Platform for Standards Information for public comment. The draft classifies response levels into Level 3, Level 2 and Level 1 based on the ratio of real-time on-site visitors to daily maximum capacity, marked yellow, orange and red respectively, and sets downgrade and release conditions plus overall requirements.

    Inner Mongolia Deploys Scenic-Area Renewal and Market Cleanup

    A research team from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism visited key scenic areas in Hulunbuir, including Hulun Lake, Moergele River and Aoluguya, to inspect 5A-level scenic-area creation and re-evaluation preparations, and examined horse-riding tourism market rectification and industry standardization in Heishantou, Ergun. A regional tourism work symposium was then held in Ergun, deploying tasks including scenic-area upgrading, 5A creation, market rectification, anti-organized-crime work in tourism, and winter tourism preparation.

Deputy Secretary-General Rong Liping stated these cases feature low investment, creative ideas, high feasibility, and replicability, aiming to guide scenic areas from heavy asset investment to asset-light refined operations.
