Xiangshawan Desert Resort Upgrades as Visitors Shift from Sightseeing to Experiencing

The Xiangshawan scenic area in Dalad Banner, Inner Mongolia is upgrading its desert resort offerings, shifting visitors from sightseeing to experiencing. Annual visits exceed 1 million, with a single-day record above 24,000 this year. The local government invested 44.28 million yuan in entrance landscaping and supporting works, completing 214 mu of greening, building an ecological parking lot with 3,686 spaces and five new communication base stations. Guanmianfang village now has over 30 homestays.
