    The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) updated its Thailand travel advice on 28 September 2026. The FCDO advises against all but essential travel to Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat provinces and four districts in southern Songkhla near the Thailand-Malaysia border, as well as the Hat Yai to Padang Besar train line, due to regular attacks in these border provinces.     UK FCDO Updates Nepal Travel Advice After Rasuwa Flooding

    The UK FCDO updated its Nepal travel advice on September 11, 2026. On August 26, 2026, major flooding in Rasuwa district and the Nepal-China border area caused widespread damage, severely damaging buildings, roads, transport and communications infrastructure, with Gorkha, Nuwakot and Dhading also affected. Nepalese authorities have warned of further flooding risk, and affected areas may remain unstable. The Nepalese government established a toll-free Nepalese-language emergency number, 1234, and a dedicated hotline, 1144. The Family Assistance Centre at the British Embassy Kathmandu remains available.
