Hilton released a brand blueprint for hotels to run entirely on renewable energy, claiming it could cut energy bills by 18-40% and raise efficiency by 30% annually. The Home2 Suites clean-energy prototype is based on modeling across 13 U.S. cities chosen for geographic spread, differing grid structures and fuel mixes. The prototype is all-electric and paired with 100% renewable energy, sourced on-site where suitable (e.g., solar on roofs and parking canopies) and off-site when needed, mostly via green renewable energy certificates. It is positioned as a recommended blueprint for new hotels.
