Former Marriott exec Liam Brown joins Chatham Lodging Trust board

Palm Beach, Florida-based real estate investment trust Chatham Lodging Trust appointed former Marriott International executive Liam Brown as an independent trustee, effective immediately. Brown retired from Marriott earlier this year, having served as group president for the U.S. and Canada, responsible for the financial management and leadership of Marriott's lodging operations in North and South America — more than 6,000 hotels and roughly 160,000 associates. Chatham invests in upscale extended stay and premium-branded select-service hotels, with a portfolio of 39 hotels across 11 brands. Brown also serves on the boards of EPR Properties and the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
