Royal Caribbean's Hero of the Seas Completes First Float-Out

Hero of the Seas, a new member of Royal Caribbean's Icon class, completed its first float-out at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, moving construction into a new phase ahead of its August 2027 debut in Miami. During the float-out, the dry dock was filled with more than 90 million gallons of water overnight, after which the ship was moved to an outfitting pier for about a year of remaining work. The ship will feature eight themed neighborhoods, nine pools and 28 dining venues, including the new Orleans Parrish Supper Club, plus a three-story Ultimate Family Treehouse.
