India Weighs Pros and Cons of Letting Airport Operators Own Airlines

India's Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu said the government is weighing the pros and cons of allowing airport operators to own airlines, but has yet to make a decision. The issue emerged after Adani Airport Holdings sought a waiver from the Airports Authority of India from restrictions that prevent the operator of Mumbai Airport from holding more than a 10% stake in a scheduled airline.
