IndiGo Raises Ancillary Fees While Keeping Low Fares

IndiGo has raised fees for a range of optional services, including infant travel, excess baggage, unaccompanied minors, priority check-in and boarding, and travel certificates. Infant travel for children aged three days to two years without a separate seat now costs INR 3,000 ($31), up from INR 2,000 ($21). Domestic excess baggage rose to INR 800 ($8.3) per kilogram from INR 700 ($7.3). The domestic Fast Forward priority check-in and boarding service now costs INR 650 ($7), up from INR 450 ($5).
