Club Med Opens South Africa Beach and Safari Resort

On September 17, Fosun International's Club Med Lifestyle Group announced the opening of Club Med South Africa Beach and Safari Resort in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, with more than 200 guests attending. The resort represents investment of over 2 billion rand and has more than 480 rooms, including over 400 at the beach resort and more than 70 at Vikela Safari Lodge, which sits within an 18,000-hectare private reserve. It is about 30 minutes from King Shaka International Airport and 45 minutes from Durban. Construction created over 2,300 direct and indirect jobs and 600 permanent positions.
