Houthi attacks disrupt more than a quarter of flights in Saudi Arabia
After Houthi attacks on Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, outbound flights from Saudi Arabia were widely disrupted. According to Cirium data, 312 of the 1,194 flights departing Saudi Arabia on Thursday were cancelled or did not take off, more than a quarter of the total. Travel managers and TMCs involved in Saudi routes or transiting through Saudi Arabia need to pay attention to flight adjustments and passenger accommodation.

Houthi forces attacked Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Tuesday and Wednesday, causing 3 deaths and 36 injuries according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation. According to aviation analytics company Cirium, 312 of the 1,194 flights departing Saudi Arabia on Thursday were cancelled or did not take off, more than a quarter of the total.
