Summer Hainan Duty-Free Shopping Reaches 3.82 Billion Yuan, Up 4.1%

Haikou Customs data shows that during summer 2026 (July-August), Hainan's duty-free shopping reached 3.82 billion yuan, up 4.1% year-on-year; 3.809 million items, up 0.3%; and 690,000 shoppers, up 3.4%. Large-scale performances and tourism consumption combined to boost the duty-free market.
