    China World Heritage Photography Tour Exhibition Opens at Dongyu Island

    On September 15, the Dongyu Island stop of the National Arts Fund 2026 project 'Reading China, Beauty in All Forms — China World Heritage Photography Tour Exhibition' opened at the Boao Dongyu Island National Tourist Resort in Hainan. The tour features 100 selected works by 53 photographers, covering all 61 World Heritage sites in China, organized into four sections: Beauty of Nature, Charm of Culture, Path of Exchange, and State of Coexistence. The 2026 Boao MICE Tourism Development Conference was held concurrently. The Dongyu Island stop runs until October 14.

    Hainan Airports Handle 8.7 Million Passengers in Summer

    On September 2, Hainan Airport Group released summer travel data. The three airports of Haikou, Sanya, and Qionghai collectively handled 57,000 flights and 8.7 million passengers, up 3.8% year-on-year. Among them, international flights exceeded 3,100 with 460,000 passengers. Total flights increased 2.4% year-on-year, and flight punctuality rate improved by 2.2 percentage points.
