Fred Dixon returns as NYC Tourism CEO to drive visitation, economic growth

New York City Tourism + Conventions has appointed Fred Dixon as president and CEO, effective Dec. 1. He previously held the role from 2014 to 2024 and most recently served as president and CEO of Brand USA. The appointment comes as New York faces a shortage of international travelers, pressuring hotels. The city projects 66.3 million visitors in 2026, down from 66.6 million in 2019.
