Ge Lei: What Kind of Tourism Professional Should We Become?

Ge Lei, Secretary-General of the China Tourism Association, spoke at Beijing Union University's 'First Lesson' event, discussing the meaning and future of the tourism industry. He described tourism as a way of learning, growing and living, and highlighted three trends: cultural-tourism integration, industry crossover and experience-first. Ge Lei argued that tourism is the industry most resilient to AI disruption, and that sincerity is the greatest human competitive advantage.
