Agoda Data Shows Growing Travel Interest in Aichi-Nagoya Ahead of Major Sporting Event in Japan

Agoda analyzed accommodation search data for a major sporting event held in Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026, revealing significant growth in travel interest in the Aichi-Nagoya area. Nagoya City was the most searched host city, while Toyota City saw the highest increase at 715% compared to three weeks prior, followed by Ichinomiya City at 504% and Kariya City at 324%. Among international markets, Taiwan had the highest search volume, followed by South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and China. Interest from China surged 724%, and from the Philippines 249%.
