Tongcheng Report: Mid-Autumn and National Day Long-Haul and Multi-Country Travel Rise

Tongcheng Travel released its 2026 Mid-Autumn and National Day travel trend forecast. As of September 14, searches for 'Mid-Autumn' and 'National Day' rose 278% month on month, flight bookings to popular domestic cities grew over 40% year on year, and hotel stays of five days or more increased about 7 percentage points. Southwest and Northwest long-haul travel led with related product bookings up over 30% year on year; outbound small-group and customized tours saw per-capita spending rise over 20%. County-level travel product bookings grew 42% year on year, while multi-country tour bookings rose over 65%.
