Mount Tai Exhibition Opens at Shandong Museum, Runs Through December 13

• On September 14, the exhibition "Mount Tai: Eastern Great Peak, Origin of All Things" opened at the Shandong Museum.
• Structured around three threads—origins of belief, the Fengshan ritual and the world of faith—the exhibition traces Mount Tai's development from an ancient center of eastern worship to an imperial Fengshan altar and a popular pilgrimage site.
• The exhibition brings together 204 precious artifacts (sets) from 27 museums inside and outside the province, with key pieces including the Mount Tai Donggengdao bronzes, the Mount Tai Palace ding and a bronze statue of Bixia Yuanjun.
• Organizers said Mount Tai, as a "spiritual symbol of Chinese culture," carries five millennia of Fengshan belief, natural philosophy and national identity.
• The exhibition is guided by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Tai'an Municipal People's Government, and co-hosted by the Shandong Museum, Beijing Normal University, the Mount Tai Scenic Area Management Committee and the Tai'an Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, with multiple cultural institutions assisting.
• A Peking University expert team led by Professor Li Ling was specially invited to plan and implement the exhibition, which runs through December 13.
