IHG and ALAND Sign 15-Hotel Deal to Launch Staybridge Suites in Australia

Key points

• IHG signed a Master Development Agreement with ALAND, giving ALAND exclusive rights to develop Staybridge Suites in Australia with at least 15 hotels and a minimum of 2,000 rooms.
• The first two hotels are signed: the 130-room Staybridge Suites Sydney Parramatta and 112-room Staybridge Suites Sydney Leppington, both managed by Signature Hotel Management Group.
• The two hotels form the first phase of the national portfolio, following the recent opening of the 130-room voco Gosford within ALAND's Archibald precinct.
• Parramatta is one of Sydney's major commercial centres, while Leppington is near Western Sydney International Airport and the emerging Aerotropolis.
• Staybridge Suites has 355 open hotels and 152 in the pipeline (as at 26 June).
• IHG has 21 hotel brands, more than 7,000 hotels and over one million rooms globally, with a development pipeline of a further 2,400 properties.
