China RV Camping Sector Heats Up as Motorhome Sales Top 20,000 for First Time

The RV branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers' 2025 annual RV industry report shows China's motorhome sales exceeded 20,000 units for the first time in 2025, with camper-van sales up 85.61% year on year and new-energy long-distance RV sales up 229%. Luchen.com data shows more than 12,000 motorhomes were registered in the first half of this year, up 32.6%. China now has over 3,100 RV campsites, with Jiangsu, Heilongjiang and Yunnan expanding campsite and self-drive route networks.
