Marriott Appoints Chris Buckner as SVP of Loyalty

Marriott International has appointed Chris Buckner as its new SVP of Loyalty, announced by Marriott EVP and chief customer officer Peggy Roe on LinkedIn. Buckner most recently served as EVP of product, loyalty and design at The Points Guy, and previously held loyalty-focused roles at PayPal and JetBlue. The appointment comes as Marriott increasingly positions its Bonvoy loyalty program within corporate travel programs, including Bonvoy-powered Business Access for small and midsized enterprises and a recently announced central reservation system integration with Spotnana that lets managed business travelers link their Bonvoy loyalty profiles to their Spotnana profiles.
