    Thailand Sees Chinese Booking Surge Ahead of Golden Week

    As China's Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays approach, Thailand's tourism market is seeing a booking peak from Chinese travelers. Trip.com Group data shows Phuket flight bookings up 78% year-on-year, bookings of 7+ nights up 123%, and multi-destination trips up 84%. The Tourism Authority of Thailand forecasts about 250,000 Chinese visitors from Sept 25 to Oct 7, up 24%, generating roughly THB 11.5 billion, up 37%. As of Sept 10, Thailand had received about 3.6415 million Chinese visitors in 2026, remaining China's largest source market.
