    Beijing Happy Valley Wonder Trend Play Festival Opens with Strategic Chimeng Island Partnership

    The 2026 Beijing Happy Valley Wonder Trend Play Festival officially opened on the evening of September 25, 2026. The event links IPs including Chinese Paladin 7, Valorant: Source Energy, Paper Bride 9, Ten Days Finale and Chimeng Island to create six themed zones and seven horror houses, with over 100 performances daily and more than 300 NPCs across the park.     Super Wings Space Base Opens at Shanghai Happy Valley

    On September 25 the "Super Wings Space Base" opened at Shanghai Happy Valley. The immersive family-themed area spans 20,000 square meters with five themed zones and more than 20 featured attractions, the latest co-creation between Happy Valley Group and Alpha Group, and a practice of integrating a Chinese theme-park brand with an original Chinese animation IP. Built around a "star-core energy recovery" storyline, it covers themed rides, role-play, interactive installations and themed performances, combining family interaction, immersive experiences, themed dining and merchandise. It is the second site under Happy Valley Group's "urban IP entertainment home" strategy.

    China Releases Draft National Standard on Theme Park Tourism Service Requirements for Public Comment

    On September 16, the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee released a draft national standard, 'Tourism Service Requirements for Theme Parks,' for public comment. It sets out requirements for overall service, service delivery, service assurance, and service evaluation and improvement, applicable to theme parks providing tourism services. The standard would replace the decade-old 'Service Quality for Amusement Parks (GB/T 16767-2010).'

    Miral to Invest AED 12 Billion in Yas Island Over Five Years

    Miral, Abu Dhabi's immersive destination and experience creator, will invest more than AED 12 billion in Yas Island over the next five years for new projects and expansion and upgrades of existing attractions, in support of Abu Dhabi's Tourism Strategy 2030. The next phase will focus on expanding existing theme parks and attractions, introducing new immersive rides and experiences, and increasing hotel room supply and optimizing the accommodation mix on the island. Miral Chairman Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak said the investment reflects commitment to Abu Dhabi's long-term vision. The investment is separate from the previously announced Disney project.
