    Brazil ANAC Opens Public Consultation on Sport Pilot Training Rule Amendments

    Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) opened a public consultation on proposed amendments to two Brazilian civil aviation regulations, RBAC No. 141 and RBAC No. 183. Under RBAC 141, the proposal would make permanent the currently temporary authorization for Civil Aviation Training Centers (CIACs) to use experimental aircraft in courses leading to the Sport Pilot Certificate (CPA). Under RBAC 183, the proposal would align the requirements for association examiners with those required of CIAC examiners.     EU Opens Consultation on Non-OECD Countries Authorised to Receive EU Waste After May 2027

    The European Commission has launched a public consultation on a draft list of non-OECD countries that could be authorised to import non-hazardous waste from the EU after May 2027 under the Waste Shipment Regulation. Adopted in 2024, the regulation introduces stricter rules: from 21 May 2027, the EU will export waste to non-OECD countries only if they explicitly request to continue receiving it and demonstrate sustainable management.
