IHG and Alphanam Group have partnered to launch The Residences at InterContinental Sapa Resort in Muong Hoa Valley, Sapa, marking the debut of InterContinental branded residences in Northwest Vietnam. The development includes 79 branded villas within the 83-hectare Alphora Muong Hoa International Resort Complex and is expected to become the highest-altitude InterContinental branded residential project globally.
UK-based luxury hospitality firm Cheval Collection aims to double its global portfolio from 16 projects, with the Middle East as a key growth driver. It operates serviced apartments and branded residences, with properties in Dubai and expansion into Saudi Arabia. Despite Dubai's demand slump, Cheval believes its mixed short/long-stay model reduces reliance on international arrivals, but analysts caution that serviced apartments still absorb shocks, and S&P expects occupancy recovery only after 2027.
IHG Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement with Egyptian developer Mountain View to develop the world's first Hotel Indigo branded residences at Ras El Hekma, comprising 280 residential units. The project is adjacent to the signed 100-key Hotel Indigo hotel, further strengthening IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Egypt.
