China Tourism Development Report 2025 Released: New Consumption Trends and Upgrade Path
On 24 December, the Wuhan branch of the China Tourism Academy released the China Tourism Development Report 2025 in Wuhan. The report shows China's tourism market has moved from recovery growth into a stage of steady prosperity, with domestic tourism trips and revenue both achieving double-digit growth in 2024. Based on analysis of more than 690,000 online reviews of 426 hotspot scenic areas nationwide, nearly 80% of scenic areas received positive visitor reviews, but long queues, outdated facilities and slow service response remain common pain points.
