China's Tourism Performance Market: 198,700 Shows in 2025
The China Performing Arts Association released the 2025 China Tourism Performance Market Annual Report. It shows that in 2025, large and medium-sized tourism performance projects staged 198,700 shows, up 4.95% year on year; box office revenue reached 17.442 billion yuan, up 6.43%; and attendance reached 87.9897 million, up 3.01%. The industry is shifting from scale expansion to quality improvement, with immersive experiences becoming a core competitiveness and the market showing stable base audiences, rising silver-haired groups and young audiences concentrating on innovative projects.
