During the 2026 Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, Jiangxi Airlines added and increased multiple routes, with an average of 86 daily flights, up 7.5% year-on-year. Domestically, it added or increased routes from Nanchang to Hohhot, Beihai, Zhengzhou, Sanya, Qingdao, and Haikou. Thai Airways announced it will expand its network across Europe and Asia, increasing flights to major European cities and adding services to Vietnam and China. Under its schedule running from October 2026 to March 2027, the carrier will operate 66 domestic and international routes. In Europe, Bangkok-Paris rises to 14 weekly flights, Zurich to 11 and Munich to 10, while Bangkok-Amsterdam operates seven times weekly. In Asia, it will launch twice-daily Bangkok-Da Nang flights.

Airports Council International (ACI) World released a white paper calling for modernisation of the global airport slot allocation system. The association says the current regulatory framework, designed more than 50 years ago, has not kept pace with aviation growth: the number of the world's most congested, slot-restricted airports rose by over 25% in the last decade, and global passenger traffic is projected to nearly double by the mid-2040s. ACI World urges regulators to engage with the industry to improve transparency and adaptability in slot allocation, with the aim of improving competition, fares and connectivity.

A China Tourism Academy report lists Australia among the top 10 most satisfying overseas destinations for Chinese tourists in 2025; an Airbnb report shows Australia as one of the most popular Super Golden Week destinations, with search interest doubling year on year and some destinations up sixfold.
