IHG Signs Master Development Deal with Aland to Launch Staybridge Suites in Australia

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a master development agreement with Sydney-based developer Aland to launch its upscale extended-stay Staybridge Suites brand in Australia. Aland holds exclusive development rights and will build a significant national portfolio, starting with at least 2,000 rooms across 15 hotels. The first two franchise agreements cover the 130-room Staybridge Suites Parramatta in a Sydney commercial center and the 112-room Staybridge Suites Sydney Leppington near Western Sydney International Airport. As of June 2026, Staybridge Suites had 355 open hotels and 152 in the pipeline globally.
