9th Tourism Transport Conference Held in Hunan

• On September 23-24 the 9th Tourism Transport Conference and Academic Annual Meeting was held in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan, under the theme of networking, systematization and branding.
• The conference aimed to deepen road-culture tourism integration and accelerate cross-region, long-distance premium self-drive tourism highway development.
• Xiangxi has built an integrated transport network of expressways, high-speed rail, aviation and national and provincial trunk roads, with transport-tourism integration becoming an engine of local high-quality development.
• Yang Fengwu, a second-level inspector at the Hunan Provincial Department of Transport, said Hunan is building a "fast access, slow travel" tourism transport system and moving from network connectivity to landscape-road coexistence.
• Zhang Jinquan, executive vice chairman of the China Highway and Transportation Society, outlined four development paths for tourism transport in the 15th Five-Year Plan period: planning-led networked layout, full-lifecycle management, business-format integration and branding, and standards leadership.
• The conference was co-hosted by the China Highway and Transportation Society and Hunan Expressway Group, with multiple thematic sessions and a transport-tourism integration exhibition.
