    EU and Canada Secure Almost €220 Million for Global Ocean Observation

    European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney launched the OceanEye International Alliance at a high-level pledging event during the 81st UN General Assembly High-Level Week in New York, securing almost €220 million in pledges for the Global Ocean Observing System. The EU added €92 million in seed funding, while Canada pledged C$82 million over five years. Thirty countries have joined the alliance so far, with contributions including financial support, in-kind support and assets such as research vessels, sensors and drones.     Travelport introduces Air Canada Flight Pass capability for NDC bookings

    Travelport has introduced Air Canada Flight Pass capability within TripServices API and Smartpoint, enabling agencies to shop and book eligible Air Canada NDC offers using Flight Pass credits directly within the Travelport+ platform. Travelport says it is the first NDC GDS aggregator to implement Air Canada's Flight Pass credits. The capability removes the need to leave Smartpoint or rely on airline-direct channels to manage eligible Flight Pass bookings, and supports the associated payment and booking requirements.

    Amadeus Cytric collaborates with Globespan to issue first Air Canada NDC booking

    Amadeus Cytric and travel management company Globespan announced an alliance under which Globespan becomes a reseller of Amadeus Cytric, offering the online travel management tool to customers across Canada and the US. Globespan became the first TMC to issue a live NDC booking from Air Canada on an online booking tool via Amadeus in the Canadian market, bringing Air Canada NDC content to corporate travelers. Globespan now has full access to Cytric Easy functionalities, including Microsoft Teams integration.
