    IHG Accelerates Malaysia Expansion with Garner Hotels and Franchise Model

    IHG signed a two-hotel portfolio agreement with King Park Hotel Sdn. Bhd, launching its franchise model and midscale conversion brand Garner in Malaysia for the first time. The 202-room Garner Hotel Kota Kinabalu will be rebranded from King Park Hotel Kota Kinabalu, with 106 rooms opening in 2027 and 96 more in a second phase in 2029; the 140-room Holiday Inn Express Tawau will open in 2028 after refurbishment, becoming IHG's first hotel in Tawau.

    Hilton Launches Home2 Suites Clean Energy Prototype

    Hilton introduced the Home2 Suites by Hilton Clean Energy Prototype, an optional, scalable hotel design concept for new U.S. builds that combines all-electric systems, renewable energy and high-efficiency building technologies. Based on modeling across 13 U.S. cities, the design is expected to cut annual energy costs by 18% to 40%, improve energy efficiency by about 30% and reduce operational carbon emissions by roughly 440 metric tons. Hilton calls it its first zero-operational-emissions prototype made widely available to owners, supported by Hilton Supply Management's energy procurement program.

    IHG to open coffee-inspired Noted Collection hotel in Amman

    IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with Jordanian coffee brand Al Ameed Coffee to bring its 21st brand, Noted Collection, to Jordan. The 50-key hotel in Amman sits on a key gateway corridor linking the city to Queen Alia International Airport, with a coffee reserve and experience centre on the first two floors and coffee-inspired touches throughout. IHG currently operates eight hotels across three brands in Jordan.

    Hilton's Outset Collection Set for EMEA Debut with Madrid Signing

    Hilton announced a franchise agreement with Arte Hoteles for the first Outset Collection by Hilton property in EMEA: Casa Verbena Madrid. Expected to open later in 2026, the 45-room hotel will sit on Calle de Preciados in central Madrid, within walking distance of Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Gran Vía. The signing expands Hilton's lifestyle collection portfolio and its presence in Spain.

    Tapestry Collection by Hilton Debuts in London with London Bridge Hotel Signing

    Hilton has signed the London Bridge Hotel under its Tapestry Collection brand through a franchise agreement with Gama Holdings, marking the lifestyle brand's debut in London and becoming Hilton's ninth brand in the city. The 153-room hotel, located at 8-18 London Bridge Street, is expected to open in early 2028 after a transformation costing over £12 million. It will offer easy access to landmarks such as The Shard, Borough Market, and Tower Bridge. This signing supports the growth of Tapestry Collection across the UK and Ireland, with the brand expected to reach six hotels by 2028.

    Hilton signs DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta, opening late 2028

    Hilton announced the signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta, a 100-room hotel set to open in late 2028 at 34 Hassall Street in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. The hotel will form part of a mixed-use development by Deicorp Group and be operated by Trilogy Hotels under a franchise agreement. It will feature guest rooms of 20 to 45 square metres, an all-day dining restaurant and lounge, 667 square metres of event space including meeting rooms, a boardroom and pre-function areas, and fitness and wellness facilities. The signing introduces Hilton to the Parramatta market and strengthens its Greater Sydney pipeline.

The event, organized with the Investment Partnerships Program (PPI) and the Civil Aviation Secretariat, aimed to clarify project details and encourage contributions. Seven groups participated in in-person and online meetings.
