    Giant Pandas Pingping and Fushuang Arrive at Zoo Atlanta

    On the morning of September 27 US Eastern Time, Chinese giant pandas Pingping and Fushuang arrived at Atlanta International Airport on a charter flight and were transferred to Zoo Atlanta for about one month of routine quarantine. Joint checks by Chinese and US veterinarians and keepers confirmed both pandas are in good health. Chinese veterinarians and keepers will stay at the zoo for three months to help them adapt. Under bilateral arrangements, the pair will live at Zoo Atlanta for 10 years. The zoo has upgraded its facilities and expects the pandas to meet visitors after the adaptation period.

    Ya'an Tea-Tourism Integration Drives Cultural Tourism Growth

    China Tourism News reports that Ya'an in Sichuan is integrating tea plantations and giant pandas into cultural tourism products. The Qianli Jiangshan Tu scenic area in Mingshan District, featuring vast tea fields and a high-speed rail line crossing them, has received about 650,000 visitors this year. Qilong Village now has 17 homestays and a coffee shop attracting 200-300 visitors daily. According to Ya'an's culture, radio, television, sports and tourism bureau, A-level scenic spots received 15.7899 million visitors in H1 2026, up 11.38% year on year, with ticket revenue of 102.7683 million yuan, up 26.35%.
