    voco debuts in East Africa with all-suite Nairobi airport hotel

    IHG's fastest-growing premium brand voco has opened its first East African property, voco Nairobi Airport Suites, featuring 112 suites about eight kilometres from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, with a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle and proximity to the Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway terminus. The hotel offers four dining venues and 623 square metres of meeting space, including the 235.33-square-metre Mara Hall for 160-180 guests, targeting transit travellers and long-stay executives.

    Crowne Plaza by IHG opens Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée

    Crowne Plaza by IHG announced on 24 September 2026 the opening of Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée in Magny-le-Hongre, at the heart of Marne-la-Vallée. The hotel spans 2.5 hectares of landscaped grounds and offers 250 guestrooms and suites, most overlooking Golf Paris Val d'Europe. It sits about 40 minutes from central Paris and provides a complimentary shuttle to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station and the region's theme parks. Event facilities include 1,500 square metres of flexible space, 14 meeting rooms and capacity for up to 400 delegates. The brand has 96 hotels and more than 20,400 rooms open across Europe, with a pipeline of 21 properties and over 4,300 rooms.

    Accor's MGallery Signs New York's Ink 48 as U.S. Flagship for 2028

    Accor's boutique brand MGallery Collection announced the signing of Ink 48 in Manhattan, New York, as its U.S. flagship hotel. Located in Hell's Kitchen, the property has 222 guestrooms including 17 suites, a rooftop bar, a restaurant and about 6,000 square feet of meeting space. Following the signing, the hotel will undergo extensive renovation while continuing to operate independently, before officially joining MGallery in 2028 under Rebel Hotel Company management. MGallery currently has more than 125 hotels worldwide with over 60 projects in development.

    Marriott's W Hotels expands to Charlotte, North Carolina

    Marriott International's W Hotels brand is expanding to Charlotte, North Carolina, with a 200-key hotel anchoring the redevelopment of a former office tower. W Charlotte will offer 173 guest rooms and 27 suites, developed by New York City-based Spandrel Development Partners with 7G Group. The hotel spans floors one through nine of the redevelopment and includes a penthouse suite, about 12,000 square feet of meetings space, a ground-floor restaurant and coffee bar, the brand's signature Living Room, and an 18,000-square-foot rooftop food and beverage venue on the 34th floor.

    Hilton signs DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta, opening late 2028

    Hilton announced the signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta, a 100-room hotel set to open in late 2028 at 34 Hassall Street in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. The hotel will form part of a mixed-use development by Deicorp Group and be operated by Trilogy Hotels under a franchise agreement. It will feature guest rooms of 20 to 45 square metres, an all-day dining restaurant and lounge, 667 square metres of event space including meeting rooms, a boardroom and pre-function areas, and fitness and wellness facilities. The signing introduces Hilton to the Parramatta market and strengthens its Greater Sydney pipeline.
