    '3 Days Off for 13' Boosts Holiday Lodging as Huazhu Bookings Rise

    With only three working days between Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day in 2026, the '3 days off for 13' leave strategy has created a super-long golden week, pushing the lodging market into an early booking boom. As of September 21, Huazhu Group data showed overall hotel booking rates for September 25 to October 7 rose about 2 percentage points year on year, with room nights up 22%. Top 10 first- and second-tier cities include Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing; top 10 third- and fourth-tier destinations include Luoyang, Yangzhou and Guilin; top 10 county destinations include Jiuzhaigou, Yangshuo and Antu.

    Accor Bets on Asia With Market-Specific Expansion Strategies

    Accor is not pursuing a single Asia strategy but several market-specific expansion models. In China, the hotel giant is leaning on H World to help double its footprint to 1,600 hotels. In India, it is looking for new partners. In Vietnam, major developers are driving an unexpected surge in signings. Across the region, conversions and franchising are increasingly helping Accor tap into existing hotel supply. Duncan O'Rourke, Accor's CEO for Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, said China, India and Vietnam are very big for the company, but the development models to capture those opportunities are markedly different.

    H World Group Launches Premium Brand Grand Ji Hotel

    H World Group has launched Grand Ji Hotel, a new premium brand built around a distinctly Chinese approach to design, comfort and hospitality, emphasizing privacy, calm and service. As of end-June, two Grand Ji Hotels were open with 441 rooms and 18 more properties in the pipeline. H World operates more than 13,000 hotels globally, and its technology backbone, supply chain and operating scale underpin the brand's expansion. The brand is anchored in five elements — water, clouds, tea, pine and stone — with modular design and a 'one brand, one design' philosophy ensuring consistency across properties.

    H World Completes 3.35 Billion Yuan Debut Offshore RMB Dim Sum Bond

    H World Group completed pricing of a 3.35 billion yuan offshore RMB senior unsecured dim sum bond at a 2.25% coupon, with a five-year term maturing in 2031, its first offshore RMB bond. It listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange from September 17, with proceeds intended for general corporate purposes. Industry observers consider the 2.25% coupon low, reflecting capital market recognition of H World's credit fundamentals. As of June 30, H World had about 14.2 billion yuan in cash and cash equivalents, about 4.2 billion yuan in total debt and about 10.2 billion yuan in net cash.     Huazhu Partners with Franchisees to Support Rural Schools in Yunnan

    Huazhu Group, together with the Shanghai Huazhu Social Welfare Foundation, held a "Yunnan Charity Tour," joining national franchisee representatives at Lawan Ethnic Primary School in Mouding County, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, donating sports equipment, teaching devices, and living facilities. Huazhu Group CEO Jin Hui attended the event. Last year, Huazhu invested 420,000 yuan to build the "Huazhu Love Shower Room" at Anle Central Primary School in the same county. As of 2025, Huazhu has delivered 16,625 online volunteer teaching courses to over 30 rural schools, benefiting 13,473 students and training 569 teachers.
