    PROMPERU Leverages Capital Museum Exhibition to Promote the Moche Route

    PROMPERU's Beijing office hosted a media event at the Capital Museum on 22 September to promote Peru's tourism resources alongside the exhibition 'Gold, Power, Eternity: Ancient Peruvian Civilisation'. The exhibition, part of the 2026 Capital Museum season and the largest Peruvian artefact show in Beijing in nearly 25 years, brings together about 800 items from more than 20 museums in Mexico and Peru and runs until 18 October 2026. Counsellor Luis Cabello said that a decade after Peru's conditional visa-free policy for Chinese visitors took effect, Peru is becoming a leading long-haul South America destination for Chinese travellers.     Australia Leads Super Golden Week Long-Haul Market as Search Interest Doubles Year on Year

    As the Mid-Autumn and National Day Super Golden Week approaches, long-haul outbound travel interest is rising. A China Tourism Academy report lists Australia among the top 10 most satisfying overseas destinations for Chinese tourists in 2025; an Airbnb report shows Australia as one of the most popular Super Golden Week destinations, with search interest doubling year on year and some destinations up sixfold. In the year to June, Chinese visitors to Australia exceeded 1.1 million, up 18% year on year; overnight spending reached A$13.7 billion, up 27%. China-Australia routes averaged over 130 weekly flights in July, and China Southern's Guangzhou-Perth direct service now operates year-round.
