    Travel Agencies Enter Final Sprint Before Mid-Autumn and National Day Holidays

    China Tourism News reports that travel agencies have entered a final sprint before the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays. Companies including Spring Tour, CTS Travel, Tuniu and Zhongxin Travel are focusing on pre-trip preparation, short-haul bookings, safety and contingency plans. A CTS Travel consultant handles over 20 tourists daily, managing rescheduling and tight inventory. Spring Group President Wang Wei describes a phased workflow, while Tuniu schedules livestreams and order reviews at 20-30, 7-15 and 3-5 days before the holiday. Agencies have set up holiday working groups and emergency plans.

    Fujian Deploys Holiday Tourism Supply and Safety Measures

    With the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays approaching, on September 23 Fujian Party Secretary Zhao Long inspected holiday safety, livelihood support and tourism market supply in Fuzhou. At the Sanfang Qixiang fire rescue station, he reviewed holiday fire rescue readiness and fire prevention plans, and inspected historic district conservation and tourism business distribution, calling for richer tourism products and orderly market operations. At the Dongjiekou metro station, he required stronger risk screening at key venues, optimized capacity allocation and efficient connections among transport modes.

    Two Guides' Preparations for the Holiday Season

    China Tourism News interviews two guides. Inbound guide Hu Xiaofan is hosting 16 Italian tourists on a 16-day Yunnan tour, spending Mid-Autumn in Shangri-La; she plans to introduce the festival starting with mooncakes, having learned dietary restrictions and some Italian. Domestic guide Liu Yongkai is preparing a 30-person senior group for a National Day trip to Baiqquan Mountain in Huairou, Beijing, limiting hiking to under two hours and about four kilometers round trip, and packing motion-sickness medicine, trekking poles and hot water.

    Guangzhou Expects Nearly 60 Million Passenger Trips During Mid-Autumn and National Day Holidays

    The Guangzhou Municipal Transport Bureau estimated on 21 September that about 17.56 million passenger trips will leave or arrive in Guangzhou during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday and about 41.92 million during the National Day holiday. The Guangzhou People's Government Information Office held a 2026 Mid-Autumn and National Day press conference the same day.     Qingdao Eden Project Launches Holiday Free-Ticket Offers and Night Shows

    On 18 September, Qingdao Eden Project in Shandong launched a series of themed performances under the banner 'National Trend Prosperity · Family Fun for the Double Festival'. During the Mid-Autumn Festival from 25 to 27 September, visitors aged 60 and above can enter free with their original ID card.
