    Accor Bets on Asia With Market-Specific Expansion Strategies

    Accor is not pursuing a single Asia strategy but several market-specific expansion models. In China, the hotel giant is leaning on H World to help double its footprint to 1,600 hotels. In India, it is looking for new partners. In Vietnam, major developers are driving an unexpected surge in signings. Across the region, conversions and franchising are increasingly helping Accor tap into existing hotel supply. Duncan O'Rourke, Accor's CEO for Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, said China, India and Vietnam are very big for the company, but the development models to capture those opportunities are markedly different.

    On 20 September 2026, Yicheng Hotel Guangzhou East Station Sports Center (Xinjiang Building), a modern Oriental light-luxury brand under Dossen Group, officially opened.     Elong Brand Family Marks Five Years of Self-Incubated Quality Scale

    On September 16, 2026, Elong Hotel Technology held its Elong brand family showcase in Shenzhen. Five brands span high-end, upper-midscale, midscale and niche segments, with over 500 signed and more than 250 opened properties. Elong Hotel has nearly 200 signed and nearly 100 opened, with 2025 RevPAR 8.4% above the industry upper-midscale tier and OCC 4.9 percentage points ahead.     Three Hilton Brands Again Rank No. 1 in JD Power 2026 Guest Satisfaction Study

    Hampton by Hilton, Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton each ranked highest in guest satisfaction within their respective segments in the JD Power 2026 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Study. The 30th annual study surveyed more than 44,000 branded hotel guests for stays between May 2025 and May 2026, evaluating seven dimensions: guest room, food and beverage, hotel facility, hotel staff, hotel connectivity, value for price paid, and check-in/check-out. Hampton ranked highest in Upper Midscale for the second consecutive year, Tru in Midscale for the fourth consecutive year, and Home2 Suites in Upper Midscale/Midscale Extended Stay for the fourth consecutive year.
