    National AI Application Pilot Base (Culture & Tourism) Campus Opens in Hangzhou

    On 28 September, the launch ceremony for the National AI Application Pilot Base (Culture & Tourism) campus and its first ecosystem partner conference were held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Located in Gongshu District, the base is the country's first culture-and-tourism-oriented application pilot base, led by Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Industry Investment Group under a '1+4+5+N' architecture. It released five models including the 'Wenrun' large model, four high-quality datasets including a historic-building gene dataset, and five application scenarios including the 'Aiyouyou' culture-tourism super agent.

    Tongcheng's HopeGoo Distributes Inbound-Travel Consumption Vouchers

    On September 23, Tongcheng Travel's international platform HopeGoo launched the 2026 "Hi Zhejiang" Hangzhou inbound-travel consumption vouchers, its first time distributing a government-led inbound-travel voucher program. Foreign and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan users can claim hotel and attraction ticket vouchers via the HopeGoo app: 20% off hotel bookings over RMB 210, capped at RMB 210 off, and 20% off attraction tickets, capped at RMB 60 off. Vouchers are valid for seven days from claim, with one per category per user. The first batch runs from September 23 to December 25, 2026, for stays and visits through December 31, 2026.

    Fuyang's Intangible Heritage Tourism Model: 3 National Projects, 167 Inheritors

    Fuyang District in Hangzhou is leveraging the Fuchun River landscape and intangible cultural heritage resources to explore a cultural tourism integration path centered on landscape, heritage and experience. Fuyang has three national-level intangible cultural heritage projects—bamboo paper making, Zhang's bone-setting therapy and the Filial Piety Festival—plus over 100 provincial, municipal and district-level projects, and 167 inheritors at various levels.
