    Travel Agencies Enter Final Sprint Before Mid-Autumn and National Day Holidays

    China Tourism News reports that travel agencies have entered a final sprint before the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays. Companies including Spring Tour, CTS Travel, Tuniu and Zhongxin Travel are focusing on pre-trip preparation, short-haul bookings, safety and contingency plans. A CTS Travel consultant handles over 20 tourists daily, managing rescheduling and tight inventory. Spring Group President Wang Wei describes a phased workflow, while Tuniu schedules livestreams and order reviews at 20-30, 7-15 and 3-5 days before the holiday. Agencies have set up holiday working groups and emergency plans.

    China Releases Draft National Standard on Theme Park Tourism Service Requirements for Public Comment

    On September 16, the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee released a draft national standard, 'Tourism Service Requirements for Theme Parks,' for public comment. It sets out requirements for overall service, service delivery, service assurance, and service evaluation and improvement, applicable to theme parks providing tourism services. The standard would replace the decade-old 'Service Quality for Amusement Parks (GB/T 16767-2010).'

    Nanjing Tourism's H1 revenue reaches 366 million yuan

    On August 28, Nanjing Tourism released its semi-annual report: H1 revenue was approximately 366 million yuan, up 1.72% YoY; net profit attributable to shareholders was about 6.43 million yuan, down 18.94%. Tourism service revenue was about 114 million yuan, the second-largest source, with a gross margin of 49.54%, the highest among segments.

    The China Tourism Academy released the 2024 Chinese Outbound Tourist Satisfaction Research Report on June 26. The report shows China's outbound tourist satisfaction index was 80.06 in 2024, remaining in the "satisfied" range all year, with narrowing regional and quarterly differences.
